Helping the Children - Schools

In Mexico, children must have a birth certificate and a uniform, including shoes, to attend school.  We certainly make this a priority for any child we receive in our homes.  Teachers must work under a Mexican certification.  Our expenses include uniforms, books, and teachers' salaries.

BAJA:  Children attend the Oasis School, established in 2000 on our Mission grounds, for grades K-6; older children attend the public school in Vicente Guerrero.

OAXACA: In 2006, public school teachers protested, closing most schools.  Local businessmen established a private school for K-12 which our children attend in Tlacolula.  It is our hope to build our own school on our property one day.

MICHOACAN: At our home in Morelia, we operate an elementary school for K-6 which is attended by our children, as well as other children from the community.  Secondary and high school students attend public school in the town.

*** We are sorry, but we are unable to facilitate adoptions. We are not licensed in the United States or Mexico as an adoption agency.
