CHARLA AND JEAN

Jean Darnell, a student of Amy Simple McPherson, has literally traveled around the world preaching the Gospel. She ministered at the Church on the WayVan Nuys, CA, until she was 90. Jean now semi -retired, recently had a stroke. Her daughter LaDonna hosted a gathering of old and new friends last Sunday. We shared memorable events.

Many years ago, Jean was a guest speaker at Old Pisgah in Highland Park, CA. She promised to give a boomerang from Australia to the person who brought the most guests the next night. Charla recruited seven friends from the Lutheran Church and was gifted the boomerang by Jean. Charla has treasured this special gift since 1963; she returned it to Jean at this gathering. A boomerang always comes back to the sender!

OSMIN ON HIS BIKE

ANOTHER CHILD RIDING HER BIKE

Two children from our Special Education Center learned to ride their bikes without training wheels. This is not an easy feat for a child with a disability.

ODBULIA AND EFREN

 MARIBEL AND ROSALINDA

This past month Cheryl Trevor, school supervisor, taught the children the attributes of God. Last week, she specifically spent each morning devotional sharing the principles of salvation. She was truly blessed when at the end of it six children told her they had prayed to receive Christ for the very first time.

Please pray for these children who have
experienced the new birth in Christ Jesus.
