PRAYING FOR THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LOVED ONES
The griefs we experienced last week were almost unbearable. Letter bombs sent arbitrarily to politicians, then the hateful murders of 11 people in a synagogue in Pittsburgh.
As Rodney King once said a long time ago, “Why can’t we all just get along?”
God have mercy on us.
BRIAN FORSSEE WITH THEIR CHILDREN
Clayton and Mary Peterson were some of our oldest and dearest friends.
Our lives were intertwined with them for decades.
Both Mary and Clayton are now in heaven.
Barbara Forsse, their daughter, called with an urgent prayer request.
Her son, Brian, has stage 3 lung cancer. Brian lives in Montana
and is the father of these precious children.
Please pray for Brian’s healing.
MARTINA AND KEILA
Martina and Keila will be serving at the daycare in San Quintin. I remember well the day Martina came into our nursery. She was such a joyful baby and she has remained the same. I know these two young women will bring their joy to His little ones in the new daycare center.
GODFREY AND ELISABETH DAWKINS (LEFT) AND VISITING MISSIONARIES.
Godfrey writes, “We praise the Lord with you that the writing project with
Twila Belk is proceeding apace…Elisabeth is due to have Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
surgery done on her right hand at the Manor Hospital in England on November 8th.
It will be a more modern method. Elisabeth has not been in England for 28 years.
I’m sure there will be many changes.”
Please pray for Elisabeth Dawkins surgical procedure.
AT THE OAXACA MISSION, LITTLE CHILDREN
MAKE NAME PLAQUES FOR THEIR BEDS
A very long time ago, one of the little children took me to her room
and showed me her twin bed. “It’s all mine. I don’t have to sleep with anyone else.” She showed me two drawers in a dresser. Again she said, “These are all mine.”
This picture reminded me the children at our mission have twin beds
all their own and they have made name plaques for each.
PRAY FOR A FUTURE FARMER IN MEXICO
LLANO GAVE HIS FIRST CUCUMBER TO HIS TEACHER
FELIX WON FIRST PLACE FOR HIS CHILI PLANT
DALE FORSEE, OPERATING THE FORK LIFT, RICARDO BOLANOS ASSISTING
For many years WINGS, our only auxiliary in Redding, CA,
Has taken on astronomical projects. This time they have provided beautiful furnishings for our students’ home in Tijuana. We thank God for each and every sister who has so faithfully supported us, and especially Judy Gama-Strausser.
She has been the heart and hands of Wings.
Mary said, “My quilting days are over.” She dropped off the last quilts she made at our San Clemente office. We thank God for those who have been so faithful for so many years. Thank you for keeping our little ones warm. It has become increasingly difficult to transport anything across the U.S. border.
