REVEREND JOHN LUCAS

The prayer group dinner was superb. Chuck sang to the glory of God, accompanied by John. The beautiful saga of how we met Reverend John Lucas was shared. It led to trips across Alberta and beyond. Then John shared the history of his ministry, which has changed the world.

The next prayer group dinner will be Saturday night, May 4. There is a conflict of schedule at the Lutheran Church. Once again, Saturday May 4 at 6 p.m. is the prayer group dinner. Please notify others of this date and day change.

GREG AND ANGELA THOMSON

Our precious missionary friends, Greg and Angela, requested prayer
for their grandson Samuel. He is almost one week old
and has been on a respirator. They have just taken him off of it
but the MRI shows severe neurological damage.

Please pray the damage is reversed and pray
for Samuel's parents, Ron and Marcela.

GRACIELA AND DULCE CORDOBA

Dulce, the youngest daughter of Mario and Graciela , writes:

“The Baja Mission church is organizing a mission’s trip to the
continent of Africa, specifically to Zimbabwe. The purpose of this trip
is to share the Gospel with children and adults, even though it will be
more focused on children. They are going to put together camps for the children as well as other activities. Almost three years ago, I had a dream
that I was in Africa and I knew when I woke up that I would go someday,
and I believe that time is now. When I found out the cost I wondered
if I would be able to go. But the person who is organizing
this trip told us that he understands it is a lot of money and that we
shouldn’t be ashamed to ask. If someone supports us, it is because
God moved on their heart and that it is a blessing from God.
What we will be doing is worth pushing aside our embarrassment
and to look for support.  And here I am, looking for support.”

Please pray for Dulce and other team members as they prepare for this trip. And pray that she is able to raise the needed support.

MIKE AND RUTH DIEHL AND THEIR DAUGHTER, KARI

Pastor Jerry Folsom, our Lutheran pastor and friend, served in Litchfield, AZ until he was diagnosed with cancer. He was an evangelist and his daughter, Ruth, has picked up his mantle. She sends challenging and delightful prayer requests regarding the homeless, foster children, crisis pregnancy, and now prison ministry. Ruth has her father’s passion to reach the lost… ”I believe our country is at war spiritually. Will you join me in praying and fasting for the unsaved and for our country?” Ezekiel 33:2-7a, II Chronicles 16:9 and Isaiah 6:8.  Ruth signs off, “Onward Christian Soldier.”

TWILA BELK

One of our many prayer warriors, Elizabeth Forney, wrote an epistle to us and is praying for Twila Belk as she writes the sequel to Charla’s Children. Twila’s husband is an invalid and needs continual prayer. Please pray that the sequel to Charla’s Children will be completed. Thank you in Jesus’ name

HC ROAR - MISSIONS 2019 RECAP

Larry and Olive Kieler led many work groups to the Mission in Baja. Larry has now graduated to heaven but the inspiration continues with Olive. Lord willing, she will accompany the group in the fall 2019.  Recently a group made a video of their experiences at the Baja Mission. You might want to click on this link to view it.
