Pray for the Ashbys

The extended family of Stephen Ashby, a dear friend of ours, is in desperate need of prayers.  Last week his Aunt Jana went home to be with the Lord after a long painstaking battle with cancer.  Her husband and her two young boys are greatly saddened and have been profoundly affected by the loss.

New Missionaries

May we introduce Glenda and Manuel Cruz. They are serving the Lord Jesus in Huajuapan de Leon; three hours north of Oaxaca, OX. There are 75 families living in this place of abject poverty. Hunger is pervasive, homes made of sticks, little-to-no education. They are providing Christian education to 35 children, which has opened the door to start a small church. Manuel and Glenda are advancing the Kingdom of God in this place. God has blessed them with a son, Elias, and their second baby is on the way. Foundation For His Ministry/Maranatha Evangelistic Association will be supporting this missionary family. You can contribute to their support; designate your gift for the Cruz family.

Baja Medical Center

We are still praying in faith that God sends a doctor for our medical center in Baja. There are so many expectant mothers who need a clean and lovely place to give birth to their babies.  We wait expectantly.

Ariana is now studying at Stanford University and soon on her way to Oxford University, in England.

Please pray for our granddaughter, Melanie Lombard.  Melanie, now age 41, suffers from paranoia schizophrenia. She has had a number of devastating experiences in life. She is a mother of three precious children that she voluntarily gave up for their highest good. Melanie lives in San Bernardino County and part of the time is homeless.  Her parents, Denny and Andrea Lombard, and Chuck and I are praying that she will go to Loma Linda Hospital, where her cousin is one of the heads of the psychiatric department. The same God who provides for our missions’ every need is personally concerned about our Melanie.
